Where it fits
Where Gepetto fits in an IDA workflow, what it depends on, and what to verify before using it.
- Adding model assistance to an existing IDA workflow
- Evaluating code explanations without changing analysis ecosystems
- Comparing plugin dependencies and provider configuration
Before you start
- A compatible IDA installation
- The Python dependencies documented by the project
- Supported model-provider configuration
Follow the data flow
A plugin can pass selected code or context to its configured model provider. Review the actual provider and settings before including sensitive material.
Understand the complete cost
The plugin is an open-source project. IDA/decompiler licensing and model calls are separate costs; free plugin code does not imply a free complete workflow.
Limits to keep in view
- An IDA environment and relevant decompiler capabilities can require separate licensing.
- Provider support and version requirements change; inspect the current README.
- This site has not independently tested the current release.
This profile is based on the official sources below. No hands-on installation, speed comparison, or independent accuracy test is claimed.
